Family Place Program

The County's award-winning Family Place Program creates learning centers for new parents by offering parent education, emergent literacy, socialization skills training and support for families at local libraries. Donate online now.

On-Line Learning and Training

In 2006, the County Library Foundation secured funding for an on-line homework help program targeting students in grades 4-12.  This internet-based program has provided more than 70,000 students with tutoring services in English, Math, Science and Social Studies annually.  In 2011, program expansion targets adult learning and job skills training. The County Library Foundation is a non-profit public benefit corporation established to benefit the County of Los Angeles Public Library. The Foundation is organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. Contributions are tax-deductible. Members of the Foundation are people or organizations who are committed to keeping the County of Los Angeles Public Library free and open to all persons.
